Amazon’s upcoming rumoured tablets are expected to beat the competition by having their prices cut down hundreds of dollars, according to anonymous sources at the New York Post. Similar news have been reported a few days ago regarding the expected low prices of the Amazon slates.
According to sources, Amazon will enter the tablet market in September or October, with a cheaper tablet that will massively undercut the prices of the Apple’s iPad and the other android tablets out there.
Selling at a loss the new tablet it’s something that Amazon also did with the Kindle reader. The market research firm iSuppli stated that the Kindle costs around $30 less than the asking price for its components.
After HP Touchpad’s massive sell-out when the company announced that the tablet has been discontinued, Amazon has now a clear idea on how to win the tablet war : clever price!
